Minuette Degree
Minuette degree is one of the smaller wave degrees in Elliott's hierarchy, sitting between Minute degree above it and Subminuette degree below it. Minuette waves typically play out over hours, which makes them the natural degree for intraday analysis on 15-minute to 1-hour charts. Motive waves at this degree are conventionally labeled with lowercase Roman numerals in parentheses (i), (ii), (iii), (iv), (v), and corrective waves with lowercase letters in parentheses (a), (b), (c). Getting the degree right matters more than the notation: a Minuette Wave (iii) is a subdivision inside a Minute wave, which is itself a subdivision inside a Minor wave. When your intraday count and your daily count disagree, the higher degree wins, and the Minuette structure usually turns out to be a smaller piece of the larger pattern than it looked in the moment.
On the EURUSD 15-minute chart you count five Minuette waves up, (i) through (v), completing in eight hours. That entire sequence is just Minute wave 1 of the larger advance visible on the 4-hour chart.
